Is that what you think it is?  Damn straight.  "Loch Ness Blues" (the t-shirt version) is coming soon to Monkey + Seal.  Totally the sex.

Made at the work meeting.  Sharpie, ink, stamp, and lots and lots of stickles.

Done for Wednesday's Monkey + Seal post about Risking Something.

Ug, I did this on Monday, had no idea I didn't post it...

I had the idea of the kid next door that doesn't play well with other children..

Tree spirit barfing up moss.

Fish thing made by smearing paint around, then adding an outline with black acrylic.  Yay.

Quick acrylic experimentation - trying to render form and such without any regard to hue/temperature and to only focus on value.  Kinda worked, but that's what experiments are for.

Concept art for a dystopian collaboration I'm working on.  I'm actually really stoked at how this came out.  Yay!

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

Uhhhhh, composition is kinda craptastic, but alas.  Maybe I'll fix it up a bit soon.  Inspired by the idea of "into the dragon's den."

This is a redux of an old art-of-the-day that I did for Seal's post about Mozart for Monkey + Seal.  Uber.

Sunday, September 19, 2010

Ug, another day of almost missing a post.  Anyway, after checking out Mike Shine's amaaaazing show last night at 941 Geary gallery, I figured I'd do this oni (Japanese ogre) in a style similar to his.  Fun fun fun!

Our next two t-shirt designs.  Which one do you like better?  Sorry it's so late, but alas, sometimes I forget to post this stuff when I do it.  Lame.

Weird bird-dog-cat thingy.

Thursday, September 16, 2010

This was the piece I did yesterday for the Monkey + Seal blog post about art school.  I ended up changing up some colors to make the focal point work a little better, so to see the "real" version, go here!

"The Secret of Frog Lake" - Photoshop.

4 crappy photos of my work I did at my last live painting.  Friend Annie Wang, board member of the Asian American Theater Company (AATC) had a big birthday bash/fundraiser and asked me to paint live.  I ended up donating this piece to AATC to auction off, but I was waaaay too tired to stay around to see who bought it.  Whoever you are, I hope you enjoy it!

Photos: 25 min, 1 hr, 2 hr, 2 hr 45 min/finish
